Third Party Inspection

Vison’s experience providing Third Party Inspection and ASME Owner’s Inspectors services encompasses a wide variety of large and small projects. We have acted as the Owner’s Inspectors for major oil sands plants demanding a high level of contractor and owner expertise, and for commercial projects where contractors and owners had a low level of awareness of regulation.

Vision’s third-party inspectors act as Owner’s Inspectors in fabrication shops across Alberta and Western Canada. Our diligence helps owners ensure their constructors will fulfil and exceed their quality goals.

We have also acted as third-party inspectors on smaller and more diverse ‘outside the box’ projects. Our company’s refined level organization and extensive experience allows us to keep things on-track for owners, even in non-conventional areas where other companies may lack experience.

Auditing

Vision has a long history of providing high quality auditing services. Our several ISO certified Lead Auditors are known for bringing a wide range of experience to our clients. Vision Auditors regularly audit the quality programs of various contractors on behalf of our clients. We ensure these programs meet our clients’ standards for compliance and effectiveness. We have also developed auditing programs and templates so that owners may conduct audits with the confidence that they are receiving outstanding results.

Pipeline Inspection – API 1169

Vision provides pipeline inspection personnel for owners. Our personnel suit a wide variety of roles to accommodate any of the client’s needs. Our past and current work includes many large pipeline projects where we have been both the pipeline inspectors and the NDE providers. This crossover allows close integration between two historically separate teams. Our end result is always a successful project for the owner at reduced cost and a higher level of quality. We also provide single inspectors to ensure quality on smaller projects.

We work to ensure public safety, regulatory compliance, and extend the life of your assets. Our approach guarantees that clients have access to competent personnel experienced in all aspects of pipeline inspection and regulations, from new construction to operations and maintenance.

We are well-versed in the regulatory requirements of Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Manitoba. We provide non-destructive examination, welding inspections, coating inspections, reporting, and consulting.

NDE Procedure Review

ASME code puts the responsibility upon the owner to review and approve the NDE procedures used by their hired contractors. During its audits, ABSA will check to see these reviews have been completed. Many owners lack the in-house expertise perform such reviews to ABSA standards. Vision provides support to owners in conducting these reviews, customizing our services according the needs and size of our clients.
